This improved M4 six position stock addresses several problem areas encountered by law enforcement, military, and sport shooters.

 The buttplate is radiused around the entire surface.  This lessens the tendency of the stock snagging on clothing and gear while the rifle is being shouldered.  The release latch is also totally radiused to help prevent snagging and enhance operator comfort, especially during cold weather.  The nut that holds the latch is also radiused.  Material was added around the latch pin, strengthening the weakest section of the buttstock.  The nylon buttstock was machined with four small bearing flats to allow clearance for elimination of dirt and sand particles.
